J Prince Reveals Kanye West Called Him to End the Drake and Pusha-T Beef
While Drake has yet to comment on his feud with Pusha-T, Rap-A-Lot Records CEO J. Prince has been doing the talking for him. After revealing that he told Drizzy not to respond to Push's "The Story of Adidon" diss, J. Prince now reveals that Kanye West also had a hand in ending the beef.
Appearing on Ebro in the Morning on Tuesday (June 5), J. Prince was asked about his role in the feud and revealed how Kanye made a call to him to squash the beef. "This something Kanye didn't want," J. Prince said about the feud. "He called me... He let me know, 'I'm a family man. I don't want this.'"
Kanye hinted at the Drake and Pusha-T beef being over when he tweeted on June 2, "I've never been about beef I'm about love lines were crossed and it's not good for anyone so this is dead now." But according to J. Prince, Yeezy's phone call to him came before the tweet was sent.
J. Prince also hinted that ending the feud may have been in 'Ye's best interest, as the diss Drake was reportedly working on would have hurt the Chicago rapper's image. "Why say these things that's about to be said, and destroy this man's livelihood," he said about the supposed diss.
In related news, while it's clear the Rap-A-Lot CEO is not a person to be messed with, one comedian found out the hard way when he tried to prank call J. Prince. Earlier this week, comedian Roy Wood Jr. shared a story about a prank call that went wrong and ended with him fleeing Houston.
According to the comedian, his prank call to J. Prince went south when Prince "simply took a breath and calmly said 'Where you at.'" The comedian says he quickly broke character and revealed it was a joke, but J. Prince definitely didn't find it funny.
