Jay Rock season is officially around the corner. On Monday afternoon (May 21), the Top Dawg Entertainment rhymer used his Instagram account to announce the title, cover and release date for his new album.

"NEW ALBUM “REDEMPTION” COMING 06/15/18 #TDE," the rapper wrote in the caption for the post, which includes the cover for his newly announced album.

The LP is called Redemption, and it is all set to drop on June 15, which is right at the very end of TDE's Championship Tour. With the momentum of the tour, it's as good a time as any for Jay Rock to drop the LP, which will be his first since 2015's 90059

While Jay Rock hasn't spoken too much about his new LP, most observant fans knew something was coming. Last spring, Top Dawg Entertainment CEO Anthony "Top Dawg" Tiffith seemingly confirmed the development of a new Jay Rock album when responded to a fan's tweet asking about whether or not ScHoolboy Q and Jay Rock's new LPs would be dropping in 2017. He replied with a "yassssss," but obviously, the two LPs never dropped. Still, that did act as a sort of confirmation that Jay Rock was working on a new project.

Last Wednesday (May 16), the Compton native dropped off "Win," which is a thumping new single that will probably land on Redemption. Before that, he pulled up with "King's Dead," a banger featuring Kendrick Lamar and Future. If Redemption is anything like those two tracks, it should be pretty fire. We can only hope.
