It looks like Jay-Z and Eminem are both coming hard for The Weinstein Company after claims of unpaid royalties for their work with the corporation. According to The Blast, both rappers filed lawsuits that say they are owed more than $800,000 in unpaid royalties collectively for their previous work with the company.

The outlet reported last week (May 4) that the court documents reveal Hov is owed more than $480,000 in total for both his work on the Kalief Browder documentary from last year with the controversial company, as well as the forthcoming Trayvon Martin documentary. The documents state that he is owed $240,000 in royalties from both projects. In previous bankruptcy documents from the company, which were filed less than two months ago, The Weinstein Company claimed that they don't owe the Brooklyn rapper any money for the Browder documentary, and did not mention the upcoming one slated to follow Martin's story.

Eminem's filing is attached to alleged unpaid royalties that stem from his work on the Southpaw film soundtrack. The documents claim that he agreed to create one song and also produce the movie's soundtrack, and he is owed $352,000 for the project and still has yet to be paid in full. Despite the movie being released in 2015, the Revival MC has been demanding his full payment as recently as October 2017.

If you recall, The Weinstein Company has faced a slew of public turmoil in the last year, as it filed for bankruptcy in March. The filing came just five months after its founder, Harvey Weinstein, has been hit with a slew of sexual misconduct allegations. Weinstein stepped down from the board of his company back in October.

Hopefully Jay and Eminem can get this case settled and receive any royalties that they are owed.
