Kodak Black Sentenced to 364 Days in Jail for Parole Violation
According to The Sun Sentinel, Kodak Black has been sentenced to 365 days for violating the terms of his parole. However, the judge said that if he completes life course classes, he could be out in about a month.
The 19 year-old rapper was arrested in Broward County on Feb. 28 for violating the terms of his parole from an August 2016 conviction. Kodak Black had several character witnesses on hand to testify on his behalf, including his mother, a family friend, his godmother and a representative from Atlantic Records. He also read a prepared statement to the court, apologizing for his behavior.
"Depending on the outcome of this case, it can be the beginning of my career, or the end of my career," he said.
Kodak is still facing felony sexual assault charges from an alleged incident in South Carolina.
