On Tuesday (July 25), Drake fans were taken aback after the 6 God was spotted with a Lil Wayne tattoo on his left tricep in photos from a recent Rolling Stone photoshoot. The most amusing part of the whole ordeal, however, is the fact that he actually got it done well over five months ago while overseas.

According to TMZ, Weezy "was beyond floored and honored" when he received word of Drizzy's new ink from the man himself nearly half a year ago. It's not at all surprising for him to have a portrait of his mentor and close friend, seeing that he has one for every person who's inspired him—from his grandmother to R&B singers Sade and Aaliyah—tattooed on his back.

After music and basketball, it's pretty safe to assume Drake's third greatest interest is getting inked. In the past year the "Signs" rapper has gotten about half a dozen new tattoos (that we know of), including one in commemoration of More Life and another rumored to match his former love interest, Rihanna. Maybe he's using his Degrassi residual checks to fund his rather expensive habit.

Hopefully his love for strippers and permanent body art doesn't veer him off the music track too much. Besides "Signs" and a few features, fans are most excited about the idea of him dropping Take Care 2 after he posted an Instagram photo that looked a lot like the Take Care album cover nearly two weeks ago. While you ponder on that, take another look at his latest tribute tat below.
