Yesterday, the news came after a briefing from Governor John Bel Edwards that the state of Louisiana was being given a stay-at-home order. This is a basic order that, unless it is an essential need, Louisiana residents are being told to stay home.

Obviously, this affected many including the Calcasieu Parish School Board who had been giving out lunches to students in the area. Unfortunately, they are being faced with the decision to discontinue their feeding program after today until further notice.

This was obviously a tough decision but one that had to be made following the governor's announcement yesterday. We will keep you updated here for all the latest on the COVID-19 and issues relating to the coronavirus.
