Per Governor Edwards’s extended stay-at-home order, most of Lake Charles and SWLA retail stores and malls are closed. On the bright side, some retailers in the area have been given the go ahead to reopen. Some are using social distancing modifications by limiting the number of customers allowed inside. Bigger stores are inviting shoppers to use their online options for in-store or curbside pickup.

For SWLA, the return to normal is going to be slow but steady, for everyone’s safety. A lot of stores have remained open during the pandemic, but some were forced to close temporarily. For now, below are a few retail stores who have re-opened for business:

Target
Target is offering order pickup and drive-up option for customers who place an order using their app. Most items are eligible, with a few exceptions. Target is not accepting in-store returns and exchanges at this time. If items were purchased prior or during the stay-at-home order, all expired returns during this period will be honored three weeks past the holding period.

Kohl’s
The store is offering limited-contact shopping between drive-up hours of 11:00am and 7:00pm. Once you’re done shopping online, watch for an email, head to the store, then check in and a Kohl’s associate will bring your order out and put it in your car.

Dick’s Sporting Goods
While stores are closed to customers, Dick’s Lake Charles is offering a free curbside pickup option for customers who order online.

Ashley HomeStore
The entire store opened this week to limited customer shopping. Floor signs are located throughout the store to help with social distancing while shoppers navigate the store. Home delivery and other full-service options are available.

Best Buy Lake Charles is open by appointment, and customers can schedule an in-store consultation online or by phone at 337-474-1196. Curbside pickup is also available. Order online, drive up and they’ll put it in your car. Bring your ID, credit card and order number to the store to pick up your items.

Kirklands
Kirklands Lake Charles is now offering curbside pickup between the hours of 11:00am - 3:00pm, seven days a week for online orders.
