2021 started off slow, but it looks like we are starting to get our festivals back in South Louisiana. One of the first festivals to return in 2021 is the Louisiana Railroad Days Festival held in DeQuincy on the second weekend of April.

Louisiana Railroad Days Festival will be held from Thursday, April 8 through Saturday, April 10. It will still take place at the DeQuincy Railroad Museum in the heart of the city of DeQuincy. This year's festival will include the ever-popular carnival rides for the kids and adults alike to enjoy.

They are set to have a Ferris wheel, merry-go-round, a kid's train, the Zipper, the Tornado, and a dragon roller coaster ride, plus many more. You can buy your ride bracelets and tickets this Wednesday, March 31.

The sale of carnival ride tickets will run through April 8, which is the start of the festival. All tickets can be purchased at the Red Caboose located on the DeQuincy Railroad Museum grounds.

Due to current guidelines from the state of Louisiana and the CDC, all attendees will be expected to wear masks and social distance. The festival will also feature designated areas for festival goers to be able to eat and drink.

Remember, this festival is alcohol free and is also free to attend. You can find out all you need to know by going to the Louisiana Railroad Days Festival Facebook page.
