Two more shootings in Lake Charles in less than a week leaves two men shot on Wednesday night, December 14. Thankfully both men suffered only non-life-threatening injuries. The first victim of the night was not injured during the the first shooting earlier in the night. All three victims were accosted by armed masked men.

According to KPLC, LCPD received their first call at approximately 10:25 p.m. about shots fired in the 1500 block of Brick Street.

"Upon arrival, officers were approached by a male victim who advised that he was walking home when he observed two unknown black males arguing with several occupants inside a vehicle," said Lt. Richard Harrell, police spokesman. "As the victim continued walking, he observed one of the male subjects produce a gun and then begin shooting the gun toward the victim."
The victim was not injured and the two suspects fled the scene, headed south through an apartment complex.
The second shooting happened in the 100 block of North Lincoln Street. Officers got the call near midnight of a possible shooting there.

When officers arrived, two males had been shot - despite complying with their attackers' demands, Harrell said.

Police reportedly learned that the four black male’s wearing masks approached the victims, ordering them to the ground. Even after complying, the victims were shot. Both male victims were taken to a local hospital and treated for non-life-threatig injuries, said the news site.
