Michael Strahan gets the official full time nod as co-host of Good Morning America, which is well deserved if you ask me on a personal level. I think that Good Morning America has been on the cutting edge of quality news and great entertainment, as well. Michael did a great job hosting Live with Kelly and Michael, and now it's time to really take it to another level. Another thing that is great about being in the big league is having celebrity friends who do surprise visits for you when needed.

Usher has really been on the promoting trail lately in preparation of his latest album Hard II Love, which will be dropping September 16th, and today he showed up on Good Morning America to not only welcome Mike to his job on his first full day, but also to talk about his latest album and what we can expect.

Great news for Mike and also for GMA. I can only see great things coming with even greater ratings that should be coming out soon. You can believe that this is a major power move for Good Morning America as they're main competition, The Today Show, has been on the rise for a while.
