St. Louis rapper/actor, Nelly, is set to return to the Golden Nugget in Lake Charles. Save the date, the party is going down on Saturday, October 22, 2022. FYI, this is a grown folks event, all guests must be 21+. Tickets go on sale this Friday, July 22, 2022, @ 10 am! Nelly is the kind of artist with crossover appeal, you will see folks from all walks of life every time he comes to the Lake Charles area. His show is always sell-out too! So, get your tickets early.

Nelly's tour will jump off and the Twin City Summer Jam in Minnesota on July 22 and will stop in 29 cities. He'll touchdown in Lake Charles in October before taking a couple of weeks off. Then his tour will close out for a final performance in Ontario, Canada on December 3. By the way, Nelly has been cast to play fellow St. Louis legend Chuck Berry in the Buddy Holly biopic, Clear Lake!

The movie is named after the site Iowa where Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and "The Big Bopper" J. P. Richardson died in a tragic 1959 plane crash. Thanks to the Don McLean song, "American Pie", that day was later known as "the day the music died." Nelly joins Ruairi O’Connor, who stars as Buddy Holly, as well as Colin Hanks, who'll portray Holly's manager Norman Petty, and Diane Guerrero as his wife, Maria Elena Holly. Film premiere date TBA.
