Nipsey Hussle’s 10-Year-Old Daughter Honors Him During Elementary Graduation
Nipsey Hussle's oldest child Emani graduated from elementary school over the weekend. The 10-year-old gave a riveting speech in which she honored her late father.
Video of the ceremony has surfaced on social media. One clip shows the young girl entering the room with her classmates. Another clip shows her accepting her diploma. Emani was tasked with giving a speech for the ceremony, in which she shouted out her mother, Tanisha Foster, and beloved dad.
“I want to begin by sharing my thankfulness for my mom for believing in me, and my dad, for always being there for me,” she said.
Nipsey Hussle's sister Samantha Smith was in attendance with Nipsey's 2-year-old son Kross.
Smith has been fighting to keep custody of Emani since shortly after Nipsey's death. Emani had been living with the California rapper and his girlfriend, Lauren London. Nipsey's family reportedly believe Foster is unfit to raise Emani as she has previous legal issues. She also has a 18-year-old daughter who has been in and out of juvenile facilities.
In other recent Nipsey-related news, the mother of his son, Lauren London, recently payed homage to the late rapper on Father's Day with a heartfelt post on Instagram. Nipsey will be honored on Sunday night (June 23), as he will be posthumously given the Humanitarian Award at the 2019 BET Awards.
