Akintunde Ahmad is not your average student. He is a native of Oakland California and surrounded by the same negatives that many other young black teens face. The difference is him and what he decided to do with his life. This young man scored a 2100 on his SAT and has a 5.0 GPA. Check out his interesting story below.

There is so much that our young black youth have to deal with on a daily basis. Whether it be negative surroundings, one parent households and unfortunately these days being subjected to crime or murder. To see this young man story really makes me believe that kids can be influenced in a very positive light. It all starts at home and of course the kids have to be receptive to doing positive things in their lives. I am sure things will work our for Akintunde and we will be seeing more great things to come from this young man in the near future. With his parents in his life and the right folks in his corner, I think he will do just fine!
