As if we don't have enough artist going to jail for gun charges, add one more to the roster.

Rapper Petey Pablo recently pleaded guilty to a weapons charge, stemming from a September 2010 arrest at the Raleigh-Durham International Airport in North Carolina. He could face up to 10 years in prison, reports the Associated Press. Petey (real name: Moses Barrett III) was arrested on September 11th, of all days, when airport security found a Smith & Wesson 639 handgun in his carry-on luggage. He was attempting to board a flight to Los Angeles to attend the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards. Obviously, he didn't make it. Despite claiming he didn't know the fun was in his bag, Petey was arrested and charged with possession of a stolen firearm, carrying a concealed weapon and attempting to take a gun onto an aircraft. The AP reported that the rapper pleaded guilty to possession of a stolen firearm charge on Wednesday (March 16), as part of a plea agreement that would see the remaining two charges dropped. Petey is scheduled to be sentenced in June, and could get up to 10 years. Petey Pablo is best known for his hit singles, "Raise Up" and "Freek-A-Leek." He also served as a featured guest on Ciara's breakout single "Goodies," but hasn't been able to regain the success he enjoyed early in his career.
