On April 6th, 2020, rapper Fred The Godson alerted his followers that he had been hospitalized with the coronavirus. I hate to report that on today, his collaborator and producer friend, Jaquae, alerted his followers the rapper had succumbed to the disease.

Fred The Godson was a New York artist who had really started to make waves in the industry with respect from legends like Fat Joe and more. This is sad as New York is one of the top-ranking states with the coronavirus pandemic and, while many are wanting to get back to work, with this news here, it shows that there are still some things left to be done before that can happen.

The rapper will be missed and has left a legacy of music for his fans to enjoy. Our prayers go out to his friends and family at this time. Let's reflect on his memory with a few classics from his catalog.
