New cellphone video of the BRPD-involved shooting that resulted in the death of Alton Sterling has emerged, showing a different angle of the incident.

The video was recorded by Abudllah Muflahi, the owner of the store where Sterling was fatally shot by Baton Rouge Police. Muflahi says that Sterling was not the person who was causing trouble at his store and has been "a welcome presence" for years where he sold his CDs in the parking lot.

An investigation by the Department of Justice is currently underway, but this video does offer new details—specifically related to whether or not Sterling had a gun in his hand when he was shot and killed by police.

The new angle provided by Muflahi's cellphone video shows that he was not.

The video is EXTREMELY GRAPHIC IN NATURE and can be seen in its entirety here.

Sterling is seen being pinned down by police in the video as one of the officers fired two shots into his chest from point blank range. At least three more shots were fired a few seconds later. An officer is then seen removing an object (that may or may not be a gun) from Sterling's right pants pocket.

At this point Sterling is still alive, as he is seen moving his arm toward his face. Upon the arrival of the paramedics he was dead.

The officers seen in the video have been identified and are on paid administrative leave.
