See The World’s First ‘Mattel Adventure Park,’ Opening Soon!
Mattel, Inc. has been manufacturing toys for nearly 80 years. Founded in Los Angeles in 1945 by Harold Matson and the husband-and-wife duo of Ruth and Elliot Handler. Today, the legendary toy manufacturer sells its world-famous brands, Barbie, Hot Wheels, American Girl, and Thomas & Friends, in more than 150 countries.
Still riding high on the historic box-office run about its most iconic toy in the Barbie Movie, they are gearing up to open a new theme park. That's right! Based on its famous toys, the world's first-ever Mattel Adventure Park is scheduled to open at Vai Resort in Glendale, Arizona, in 2024!
This will be the ultimate Toyland fantasy for kids of all ages. The first-ever Mattel Adventure Park is under construction and will include rides like Hot Wheels Bone Shaker and Hot Wheels Twin Mill Racer, Masters of The Universe ride, an enormous Barbie Dream Beach House, a Barbie Dream Closet shopping experience for Barbie fans, a Barbie Beach Rooftop to enjoy signature beverages.
Park visitors can ride Thomas The Train or enjoy the movies at the Flying Theatre, which has a world-class dome screen, 8K projection, and much more. This place is going to be amazing! Construction on Vai Resort began in 2021 on 60 acres of land. The mega-resort will house the nation's first man-made party island, 80,000 square feet of shopping, a 1,000-room luxurious hotel, a waterpark, and Mattel Adventure Park.
