Shreveport Police Kill Man Suspected Of Triple Murder
Shreveport Police found the suspect wanted in relation to the triple homicide in Shreveport. According to Franklin Parish Sheriff Kevin Cobb, deputies responded to an emergency call around 11 a.m. that an armed man had entered an apartment complex.
As soon as SPD arrived on the scene, they began evacuating residents from the building as a safety precaution. Shortly afterward they spotted Rigsby and the 36-year suspect allegedly started shooting in the their direction. FPSO state Police said Rigsby "deployed a fire extinguisher in the direction of law enforcement "in order to gain a tactical advantage." Rigsby was facing 3 second degree murder and more than likely a life sentence for his alleged roll in the the 3 gruesome murders.
The officers returned fire and mortally injured Rigsby according to Cobb. The murder suspect was hit and pronounced deceased on the scene according to the Franklin Parish Coroner's Office. Cobb said, "This was a senseless situation that ended in numerous tragedies." Indeed it was. Barry Rigsby is believed to have murdered three people early Thursday morning in their home, located on the 400 block of W. 82nd Street.
