When it comes to r&b music we are all familiar with the legends like Freddie Jackson, Luther Vandross and Teddy Pendergrass. But during the 90's there was an entirely new breed of artist who took over the scene.

There was Shai, Boyz To Men, II D Extreme, H- Town and then there was Silk. This was a group of young men who were discovered by Keith Sweat. They were featured on a few of his albums, but really eventually came out with their own solo album featuring the single "Happy Days". While this was a nice lead off, there next single is one that folks still bang to in their rides and that was "Freak Me". Some of the members broke away to do some solo things including plays and movies, but real fans wanted that chemistry back again and this year we are getting it.

On March 18th they released their latest album "Quiet Storm" where they connected with Darrell Delite who did alot of production for them in the early 2,000's and this album does not disappoint. Here is the first video from the album that still gives off that classic sound like before.

If you are a fan of great music then this is one of those that you will not want to miss. I have been a fan since day one and this is by far one of my favorite groups to date and I love this new album. Make sure you support that real r&b music that's out there right now.
