Snootie Wild Channels ‘Poetic Justice’ in ‘Come Around’ Video With Kirko Bangz
Snootie Wild is giving a huge salute to a classic '90s film for his latest visual for "Come Around" featuring Kirko Bangz.
In the visual, Wild channels Poetic Justice and takes on Tupac's role of the young mailman, Lucky. Wild, of course, also tries to woo a lucky jumbo-braid wearing lady by the name of Justice -- played by Janet Jackson in the '93 film. Kirko Bangz naturally takes on the role of Lucky's wing-man, Chicago.
“First of all, really to bring back the memory of Tupac and Black History Month because that was around the time I actually did shoot the video," explained Wild to XXL. "Other than that, it was how women have men issues and sometimes men don’t understand why. I wanted to just give an example of how to be patient but still at the same time you’re a man and about your business you can still make a woman come back around.”
As for his partner-in-rhyme for the track, Wild has nothing but love for Bangz. (The two also collaborated on the track, “Double Cup (Remix)" with DJ Infamous.
“Me and Kirko are alike in how we kick it and how we want things done,” said Snootie. “We hit it off. We been kickin’ it with each other. I’m in Houston right now.”
Their latest track comes as a follow-up to Wild's "El Pablo” which dropped earlier this year. It all seems to be gearing up for the release of his debut album -- which is slated to be released this year.
