SXSW is almost upon us! With the year's biggest arts and music festival just a few weeks away, artists and fans are beginning to gear up for the festivities.

The festival has just announced its 2016 Hype Hotel lineup and its as eclectic a collection of ambitious talent as ever.

Dance pop diva Carli XCX,  New York indie darling Empress Of and British singer-songwriter Jack Garratt are among the acts hitting the Hotel; along with Spanish indie rockers HINDS, neo-glam duo Whitney, electronica maestro Petite Noir, as well as indie duo Diet Cig; and of course, a host of other acts.

Check out the full Hype Hotel lineup here.

This year's SXSW kicks off on March 11th in Austin, TX; and showcase artists include Crystal Castles, Micachu and the Shapes, Alex G, Downtown Boys, Har Mar Superstar, Hinds, Pure Bathing Culture and others; with acts like Tory Lanez, Biz Markie, Loretta Lynn, Coheed & Cambria, Fetty Wap, Santigold and Bloc Party also expected to be taking the stage.

And, of course, there are two very significant participants in the festival this year.

On the first night, President Barack Obama will join in a conversation with Evan Smith, CEO / Editor in Chief of The Texas Tribune, about civic engagement in the 21st century and on March 16th, First Lady Michelle Obama will be discussing the Let Girls Learn initiative, a program directed making education readily available for the 62 million girls around the world who are not in school today.
