It still amazes me how profoundly ignorant some people still are when it comes to race.  It is... what it is, I guess.  Racism has been rearing it's ugly head more regularly these days and recently a nasty column about Jay-Z and the Nets raised eyebrows to say the least.

Everybody knows Jay-Z's got some mad swagger and as part owner of the now Brooklyn Nets he's lent some of his swag in developing a new logo for his team.  As the New Jersey Nets make the transition to a new place and name, the Brooklyn Nets, a new logo seems to be a good idea.
