Nas is commemorating a huge milestone at this years Essence Festival.  The Hip Hop icon is not only celebrating the 20th anniversary of  his debut album Illmatic, the Queens MC will headline the Essence Now Playing concert in New Orleans, July 3.

The 20th anniversary of the Essence Festival is just around the corner and people are already scrambling to get tickets, as it was just announced that Prince has been tapped to headline next years event live in New Orleans July 4th weekend.

According to TMZ, Daniel "Boobie" Gibson, husband to singer Keyshia Cole and father to their 3-year-old son Daniel, turned himself in on Monday (July 29)  to police in New Orleans, for assault and battery.
