After being denied bail by a South Florida judge last week, Robert Allen, the third man arrested in connection with the murder of beloved rapper XXXTentacion, entered a plea of not guilty.

According to court documents obtained by XXL, on Wednesday (Aug. 1), Allen's attorney James Lewis filed a not guilty plea on behalf of his client. At this point, it appears the suspect will take his chances at trial, barring a later plea agreement. He faces charges of first-degree murder, robbery and drug possession.

After being named as a person of interest in the case on June 27, police released a warrant for Allen's arrest on July 3, naming him as one of the people seen possibly plotting on XXX in Riva Motorsports just prior to his shooting. After evading capture for a few weeks, Allen was arrested at his sister's home in Eastman, Ga. without incident, on July 25. The following day, he was extradited to South Florida where he is currently being held without bond.

Allen is one of four men indicted by a grand jury for their alleged roles in XXX's June 18 death including Michael Boatwright (22), Trayvon Newsome (20) and Dedrick Williams (22). Police believe the four men spotted XXXTentacion with a large amount of cash shopping for motorcycles at Riva Motorsports in Deerfield Beach, Fla., and plotted to rob the rapper.

Authorities believe the foursome blocked X's exit in the parking lot in a dark-colored SUV and Newsome and Boatwright approached the rapper's car and demanded money. A brief struggle ensued and the "Sad!" rapper was shot and killed, with the culprits making off with a bag reportedly containing cash. Williams was the first to be arrested and charged, two days after the murder. He later entered a not guilty plea on June 25.

Boatwright was arrested on non-related charges on July 5 and served with a warrant for X's murder on July 10. Newsome currently remains at large.

In one of the most recent revelations in the case, the court has ordered Boatwright to be evaluated by medical experts to decide if he is mentally fit to stand trial. In another twist involving Boatwright, his public defender has withdrawn from the case citing conflict of interest, as he also represents the suspect's co-defendant, Dedrick Williams. Allen's public defender, James Lewis, was also recently granted a release from the case for the same reason.
