It's about that time for Wale fans to be blessed with a brand new album from the MMG superstar, and he is finally giving an update on its status. The DMV rapper has been working on his next project, SHINE, for the past 15 months, which will follow in the footsteps of his Seinfeld-themed The Album About Nothing project from 2015, as well as his Summer on Sunset mixtape from last summer.

Wale apparently sent DJ Booth a text message stating, "[It's] done, complete" when asked about the album. The MC is not revealing any details regarding an official release date, or who he may have as official guest features on the project, but at least we know that it's ready to hit the ears of his fans.

While he gears up for the album's release, Wale is hitting the road for a 15-date tour around the country, which starts off in Atlanta on May 5. "This is the tour they've been waiting for," says Wale. "[It will be] go-go mixed with hip-hop." Hopefully we can get a taste of what's to come on the album soon. or even a new single. For now, you can rest easy knowing that new Wale is definitely on the way.
