Good day, everyone! I know it's difficult to take something seriously when you can't see it, touch it, or smell it. That is the Coronavirus, which turns into COVID-19. It's invisible but extremely contagious. It spreads by person-to-person contact or via high-traffic surfaces like door knobs and counters.

*What Happens To People's Lungs? Think of it as a super pneumonia. Lung failure or Pulmonary edema. Like drowning in water because the lungs are so full. The lungs become heavy and oxygen stops being delivered.

*People at ris k- our mothers/fathers/grandparents over 60, people with diabetes, prone to bronchitis/pneumonia, asthma, heart issues, and other health conditions. For more info, go to cdc.gov.

*What to do if you think you were exposed? If a person is exposed to COVID-19, it takes two to fourteen days before they start having symptoms, if any.

*Symptoms vary from mild to severe. This virus/disease attacks the lungs.

*Severe symptoms include: High fever over 104, tired/fatigued, pain or pressure in your chest, shortness of breath. These are emergency warning signs.

*Mild symptoms include: loss of sense of taste and smell, coughing, low fever, sore throat, fatigue, and runny nose. Vomiting and diarrhea have also been reported.

*If you are running a med/high fever and also have any of the above symptoms get tested immediately.

*If you know you're sick, the CDC made some changes to home isolation. For more details, click here.

*How can you protect yourself and your family? Practice social distancing. Stay home. Keep your distance from other people, at least six feet or more. Do not touch your face, especially in public. Wash your hands for 20 seconds with soap as often as you can or use hand sanitizer, especially after touching any public surface. Clean your cell phone often.

This works best if everyone takes COVID-19 seriously. So lets unite and take it seriously. Be responsible and practice social distancing. For frequently asked questions, click here.

Stay well, everyone!
