Woman Sues Mac Cosmetics For Contracting Herpes From Used Lipstick — Tha Wire [VIDEO]

You may think twice before you use lipstick samples at a department store after you hear this story.

An New York woman has filed a lawsuit against MAC Cosmetics after she allegedly contracted herpes from a lipstick brand endorsed by Rihanna.  According to the New YorkDaily News, the woman’s name is Starkeema Greenidge and belief it or not, she was attending RiRi’s concert at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn when she visited the MAC pop-up store at the venue.   People lets learn from her mistake.  She allowed a store rep to apply a used lipstick sample of RiRi's 'Woo' MAC collection onto her lips.

From there she claims that two days later she developed a cold sore on her lip and that her doctor diagnosed the condition as herpes.  FYI, oral herpes is an infection of the lips, mouth, or gums due to the herpes simplex virus. It causes small, painful blisters commonly called cold sores or fever blisters.  The 28-year-old waitress believes that because the MAC reps didn’t provide new lipstick tubes for customer use, she got infected with the incurable disease.
