The Arthur Lee Tutson Youth Fraternity District 7, is a Prince Hall Affiliated Christian based organization, comprised of local kids ranging from middle school to high school. They enjoy helping their community, by providing non-profit community service every one can benefit from. Speaking of which, Arthur Lee Tutson Youth Frat proudly presents their 3rd Annual Suicide Awareness Program, Saturday September 8, 2018 at the Masonic Hall (333 VE Washington Street.).

This program has been well attended year, after year. Unfortunately, it's also been needed to raise awareness about mental illness and where to get help for people at risk. According to the latest report by, Centers By Disease Control and Prevention, suicide is on the rise here in Louisiana and across the nation. Learn more below:

These are shocking statistics, and now more than ever people need to have more information on how they can help stop these senseless deaths. When a person commits suicide, it devastates the entire family, and everyone around them. The pain from this kind of loss, has lifetime effects as well. For the 3rd year in a row, the youth of Arthur Lee Tutson Frat are hoping to inspire, educate, and motivate. More importantly...save lives.

Come out and join the conversation. Get vital information, hear powerful stories of survival, and learn more about what you can do to help someone who may be thinking about killing themselves. Guest speakers will be on hand offering useful tools like; how to notice the signs, get access to 24-hr help lines, counselling and valuable resources to help safe lives of loved ones. This is a free family-friendly event, light refreshments will be served to all who attend.
