Don Rivers

Don Rivers was born in Gulfport, Miss., and is the oldest male of a family with five kids.  He is a military brat who was no stranger to moving.  His dad was from Louisiana and Don learned the Louisiana lifestyle at an early age. He's will celebrate his 25th anniversary later this year. He has one son and one daughter. Don moved to Lake Charles in 1984 and spent five years at Bayou 104, then 11 years at LA 99 and two years at KQ-98.  He has also worked in Beaumont, Lafayette and Baton Rouge.  Most of his career has been spent along the Gulf Coast.  He has worked on the air through seven hurricanes and an ice storm. He loves to fish and his a big baseball and football fan.  He coached Little League baseball for 10 years, kids’ basketball for two years, producing a 22-0 championship team!  He is very glad to be back in Lake Charles, working with long-time friends.

New Louisiana Law prohibits Social Network Use While Driving

Weather it's twitter or facebook; it is illegal to post on your social network while driving in Louisiana. Yesterday Governor Jindal signed a Senate Bill (#147) by Sen. Erdey that prohibits any device from being used to access, read, or post to a social networking site while operating a motor vehicle.
