According to BET, rapper/actor Busta Rhymes was arrested last Wednesday (Aug. 7) after a run-in with an employee at the Steel Gym in Chelsea, New York.  The 43-year-old rapper was charged with second-degree assault, and posted bail early Thursday (Aug. 6).  Busta took to Twitter and Instagram to let his fans know he was released and ok.  He tweeted,

"Thanks to everyone who helped expedite this evening for me. I'm good and we're back to the grind."

His Instagram was similar as he wrote,

“Thanks to everyone who helped expedite this evening for me.  I’m good and we're back to the grind. Heading 2 the studio 2 turn the bulls**t into GREATNESS. I'm super good.”

As previously reported by The NY Daily News a heated exchange took place between Bussa Buss and the gym employee after the rapper was told a cameraman couldn't record his workout.  The rapper reportedly threw a Lean Body Protein drink at the employee and allegedly hit him in the back of the head.

Police were called to the scene and the rapper was arrested without incident. Busta's lawyer, Scott Leemon spoke to TMZ and said the allegations were "a bunch of bull.” He added, “This is just another attempt to take advantage of Busta’s celebrity.”

No word if the alleged victim was hurt or not, but the rapper may be faced with a lawsuit before this is all said and done.
