Echo is about 2 years old and has been with Lake Charles Pit Bull Rescue (LCPBR) since she was a puppy. Though she has severe hip dysplasia and some issues with her knees, she has very little trouble getting around. So you don't have to worry about her walking, sitting or laying down. She's got plenty of play in her! As a matter of fact you wouldn't even notice she had a hip issue if it weren't for the scars on both sides of her knees. She has had surgery on her knees to help her condition.

Because of this, it's not a good idea to let her jump up or down from places. Even though she may want too. Unfortunately there isn't a surgery to correct her hips, so putting her in a home with small children or younger dogs would't be a good idea. Simply because she can be injured very easily. Echo is a happy young lady and would do best with older kids, adults and older dogs so that playing won't hurt her hips.

Echo eats a special food that has glucosamine in it to help with her hip problems, but at some point she may need a wheel chair......(which (LCPBR) have already purchased for her). So don't be afraid to take on a special needs dog from their shelter. They will always provide financial help to their adopters if it's needed.

Besides Echo she doesn't let her issues get in her way. She loves to run and go on long walks! She so deserves a wonderful family to love her and appreciate her. To adopt Echo, the fee is $200 and will cover her micro chip, heart worm prevention, all her shots and training.
