Who are you?  Like where are your people from?  Did you ever think about that or wanna know your heritage?  Most people do.  Celebrities are no different.  In fact throughout the years there's been many TV shows allowing Hollywood's finest to trace their family trees, such as the TLC networks "Who Do You Think You Are?" and the PBS documentary African American Lives.

Speaking of PBS, their known for airing a variety of interesting documentaries, including those that shed a little more light on African American history.  In 2012 the network premiered Finding Your Roots, hosted by Harvard University professor Henry Louis Gates Jr. In the series, Gates helps the biggest stars in Hollywood from Oprah, rap icon Nas to Bill Maher, Michelle Rodriguez and Samuel L. Jackson discover their heritage by using DNA technology to learn more about their ancestry.

Trust me this series is certainly worth watching or recording on the regular basis, if for nothing else but to learn more about your favorite stars.  Season 3 of the series kicked-off this past January and according to AllHipHop a new episodes air every Tuesday at 7 CT/8 ET.

By the way, today (Wednesday February 17, 2016) you can catch last nights re-run episodes featuring Hip Hop icons Sean "Diddy" Combs and LL Cool J!  Peep the videos below!
