Temporary Road Closure for 12th Street, Beginning Monday, June 22

On Monday, June 22, the 2400 block of 12 Street, between 8th Avenue and 9th Avenue, will be temporarily closed for the next month to thru traffic. Only local traffic will be permitted between 8th and 9th Avenues.

According to the City of Lake Charles,

Westbound traffic on 12th Street should detour north on 9th Avenue, then west onto 11th Street, then south onto 8th Avenue. Eastbound traffic on 12th Street should detour north onto 8th Avenue, then east on to 11th Street, then south onto 9th Avenue.

The month long project is for the full reconstruction of the 2400 block of 12th Street.
