Watch as 2 Chainz tries on a $38,000 New Era cap, made specifically to honor Kobe Bryant and his retirement from the NBA. The “Watch Out” rapper pay tribute to “The Black Mamba” in a episode of GQ’s “Most Expensivest Shit,” which is set to to return in May for a third season.

There are two caps, and together they retail for $66,000. Excessive maybe? You be the judge.

The first cap is made from purple Italian cashmere and is accented by five yellow diamonds, to represent Kobe’s championship wins. The second cap is made from black lamb skin featuring an 18K gold “24" logo, with the Lakers logo embossed inside of it.  Both caps feature a snake skin (python) brim, and are accented in real gold.  Only 16 caps will be produced, eight of each color. Get this — a Brinks truck will pick up the hats in Buffalo, NY, and transport them to the airport, where a Delta flight will fly them first class to Los Angeles, where they will then be taken to the Staples Center and hand delivered to your seat, by a security guard and a beautiful model of your choice.

Though 2 Chainz considers himself to be Kobe’s biggest fan, he stated that he will not be bidding on the pricey caps.
