Dearly beloved. We are gathered here today to bid farewell to some of the most popular vehicles of the past 3 or 4 decades. This year marks the end of the road for some of America's most beloved machines. Soon they will disappear from showrooms, and car lots and take their rightful place in the old parking lot of the upper room.

So, let's pay tribute to the passing of 20+ vehicles heading to car heaven at the end of 2024. I must admit I was heartbroken to see the Ford Transit is on the chopping block, because it's a huge part of my business day-to-day. At the end of the year, automakers are putting Nissan, Kia, Jeep, Chrysler, Porche, Audi, and Dodge muscles cars. They are all going by-by. On the bright side, dealers are going to offer hella sales to get these babies off the lot! Well, get your tissue. This might hurt a little....

DODGE CHARGER

Production of the four-door Dodge Charger sedan ended with the rollout of the 2023 model year. It's been a good run with a variety of  V-8 models. Sadly the Charger managed to keep things interesting with a number of V-8 variants over the years, including the more than 700-hp supercharged Charger SRT Hellcat.

DODGE CHALLENGER

For years Dodge has experimented with the Challenger making imporvements here and there to the body and interior since 2008. Over the years no major changes to the style of the two-door muscle car. The brand may come back as a coupe-size in the future, but until then the after 2024 the legendary car will be discontinued and headed the big scrapeyard in the sky.

The manufacturer will still have mid-size, subcompact, and compact sedans in its fleet such as the Versa, Sentra, and Altima going into 2025.

Chrysler's 300 is the only model to be discontinued. The big body sedan has with a V-8 under its hood isn't being completly illiminated, but the current generation is. Look for a new 300 in the future to drop the V-8 gas engine and return electrified.

KIA RIO

The Kia Rio subcompact and hatback are being taken off line for now. Unfortunatly the car was on of only three vehicles that started for $20k. There is no major reason why Mitsubechi is pulling the economic sedan, it is possible that they plan to bring it back as an EV.
