
200,000 Pounds of Frozen Chicken Fritters Recalled by Tyson
Tyson Foods recalled 190,000 pounds of frozen crispy chicken fritters this week, after complaints from schools about finding plastic in the product. Twenty-nine states were affected by the recall. Luckily, Louisiana was not on that list.
The product was produced at one plant location and sent to distribution centers in 29 states: Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia and Wisconsin. - Tyson Foods
This particular product is not sold in stores but sold to "institutional food service locations". No one has reported illness or injury.
The recall comes a month after Tyson recalled twelve million pounds of chicken strips due to concerns of pieces of metal in the product.
