According to the April 6, 2020 noon update from the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH), 14,867 (up from 13,010 on 4/5) total cases of coronavirus have now been confirmed in Louisiana. There are currently 1,809 COVID-19 patients in hospitals (up from 1,803 on 4/5), 563 (up from 561 on 4/5) of which are on ventilators.

Of Louisiana's 64 parishes, 62 (up from 61 on 4/5) have reported cases. There have been 512 total deaths (up from from 477 on 4/5) reported statewide.
