Bark du Lac Dog Park Downtown Adds Agility Equipment
If you take your fur babies to the Bark du Lac Dog Park in Downtown Lake Charles you'll find a new addition of agility equipment, via a Partners in Parks contribution of $2500 from Gill Bright Animal Hospital that was also matched by the City of Lake Charles, said a media release.
“When we started Partners in Parks almost 18 months ago projects just like this were absolutely the goal,” said Mayor Hunter. “Our hope is engage the community in utilizing the City’s parks to their fullest potential. Bark du Lac has a grassroots history, built largely at the hands of volunteers and we are excited to partner with Gill Bright Animal Hospital on this exciting addition to this popular park.”
“At our core, we are a passionate team of animal lovers who believe in a better life for the people and pets of our community. We are passionate about giving back in as many avenues as possible, and being a part of the Bark du Lac Dog Park enhancement allowed us to pursue that passion. We are truly honored to be a part of this experience and look forward to the future of this wonderful park.”
If you've never visited Bark du Lac Park, it's located at 111 West Pine St, directly across the street from MacFarlane's Celtic Pub.
The park was a collaborative effort between the City of Lake Charles, the Quality of Life Task Force for the Southwest Louisiana Economic Development Alliance and the Community Foundation of Southwest Louisiana.
