Big Boi Lands Role in New ‘Superfly’ Movie
Big Boi will be stepping back into the acting world with a new role in the upcoming remake of the 1972 blaxploitation film Superfly.
This news comes on the heels of reports that Future will help produce the upcoming film. Along with his film producer duties, Hendrix will also help put together the soundtrack for the movie.
Director Director X recently praised Future for drawing inspiration from the original film's soundtrack. "I’m also excited to be working with Future, both on the music and as a producer of the film—the original soundtrack is legendary, and that’s an inspiration for the artists that Future is working with to bring a singular modern musical vision to the film," the director said.
Future and Joel Silver will serve as producers, while Steven R. Shore, the son of the original movie's producer, will serve as an executive producer.
This should be good.
