Big K.R.I.T. Spits a Crazy Freestyle on ‘The Real After Party’ [VIDEO]
Here’s something you don’t see often -- Big K.R.I.T. spitting a freestyle. The Mississippi rhymer doesn’t do freestyles but he broke his own rule for L.A.’s The Real 92.3.
In the video above, Krizzle delivers some epic bars over Slim Thug’s 2004 street banger “Like A Boss.” Before he started he gave a shout out to Texas and Slim Thug and then he spazzed out.
"That's a transformer / Be on every corner / Killin' all these haters / Dutch better call the coroner / Grill like the Foreman / Couldn't be another K.R.I.T. if they clone me," he rapped during his two-minute freestyle session.
K.R.I.T. just released his his first double album, 4eva Is A Mighty Long Time, to favorable reviews. The 31-year-old rapper, who is now an independent artist said he always wanted to record a double album to reveal his two personalities -- the K.R.I.T. side and the Justin Scott (his real name) side.
"I wanted to do a double album," he told Billboard. "I've always wanted to do one, but in creating the album, the songs were just coming out that way where it was like, 'Yeah, this is definitely for the Justin Scott side. This is Big K.R.I.T. side.'"
"With music, it's a therapy for me. So whatever I'm dealing with at the time, I talk about it when I rap," he continued. "'Drinking Sessions,'" when I wrote that, I was mashed, and sad about what I was going through. I wrote that and recorded it so that I can play it back to myself as a therapy [session]."
