It's been nearly 30 years since Coming to America released in theaters but according to a new report, a sequel is finally in the works.

The Hollywood Reporter reports that Paramount Pictures has hired Jonathan Levine to direct the sequel, while Black-ish creator and Girls Trip writer Kenya Barris will rewrite the film. Eddie Murphy is also expected to star in the upcoming movie, although no official deal is in place yet.

Earlier this year, Murphy's Twitter account tweeted out a photo teasing a Coming to America 2The photo was quickly deleted and led to the actor's daughter, Bria, debunking the photo. Bria posted a screenshot of a conversation with her father where he revealed he didn't even know he had a Twitter account.

Released in 1988, Coming to America starred Murphy, Arsenio Hall, James Earl Jones, Shari Headley and John Amos and has since become a pop culture classic.
