Black Militia's Back To School Backpack Giveaway Was Successful

This year, Black Militia Incorporated and Home Health Care 2000 came together for the annual Back To School Backpack Giveaway. This year exceeded expectations of all and left no child leaving without something.

While he never asks for the recognition, I have to give props to Artist XO for being the mastermind behind doing something like this every year, including Christmas. Over the past month, he teamed up with Home Health Care 2000 to work together to give the kids of Lake Charles and their families something to look forward to.

There were appearances by rapper Mike B, Yung Ceo, Jiggerobics creator Ayo Tae, along with Charles Lockett from Beyond The Classroom with Blackcard ATM hosting, and Big Boy Chill in the mix on the ones and twos. The event was a success with over 500 in attendance walking away with backpacks, laptops, televisions, scooters, and even Schlitterbahn tickets.

Thanks to everyone for coming out, and we look forward to a great school year for all of the students in attendance as well as the faculty. I want to personally thank XO for always allowing 107 Jamz to be a part of this great community event.
