Lake Charles National Salute to Veteran Patients Week

Once Was Inc. and Lake Charles Memorial Hospital joined forces to host this free local event special to honor Veterans in Southwest Louisiana during National Salute to Veteran Patients Week.

This annual event of observance is a time to honor and recognize the men and women who have served our country, ensuring they receive the appreciation and support they deserve. This weeklong tradition is also an opportunity to increase community awareness of the role of the VA medical center, encourage citizens to visit hospitalized Veterans, and offer details on how to become involved in local communities as volunteers.

The Lake Charles celebration during National Salute to Veteran Patients Week will be on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, from 11 am to 12:30 pm in the Sherman Conference Room at Memorial (1701 Oak Park Blvd).
