Cardi B Claps Back at Conservative Political Commentator Stephanie Hamill For “Twerk” Video Criticism
Cardi B is fed up with the far right. Following a now-viral rant against Trump's government shut down and a public tiff with right-wing political pundit Tomi Lahren (that ended with Cardi telling Lahren she would "dog walk" her — iconic), Cardi is now clapping back conservative journalist Stephanie Hamill after she criticized Cardi and the City Girls' new "Twerk" video.
This saga begins with a tweet Hamill posted yesterday (Jan. 21). "In the Era of #meToo how exactly does this empower women?" Hamill asked while sharing the "Twerk" video. "Leftists, @iamcardib , feel free to chime in. THX .."
Cardi clapped right back the following morning (Jan. 22) and kept it classy while making a very clear point.
"It says to women that I can wear and not wear what ever I want. do w.e I want and that NO still means NO," Cardi wrote on Twitter. "So Stephanie chime in..If I twerk and be half naked does that mean I deserve to get raped and molested ? I want to know what a conservative woman like you thinks."
Shortly afterwards, Hamill once again responded to Cardi's tweet. "I agree, No means NO, NO MATTER what! But this video, & others like this sexually objectify women," Hamill replied. "I think this hurts all women & the cause. We're not sex OBJECTS! Clearly we see things differently, (maybe I'm just a hater bc I can't Twerk ) Come on my show, debate me!"
Cardi has yet to respond to the offer.
