USAToday reports 26-year old Indianapolis Colts linebacker Josh McNary is now is police custody facing charges of rape, criminal confinement with bodily injury and battery resulting in bodily injury.  This couldn't have come at a worse time for the 13-5 Colts, who are hoping to beat the New England Patriots at home this Sunday in the AFC Championship game.

On Dec. 1st an unidentified 29-year-old woman filed sexual assault charges on a then, unknown man.  She claimed prior to being rapped she and her attacker got into a physical altercation were she scratched his face, back, neck and shoulders.  The woman alleges before she got away, she took a phone from her attacker's apartment.  McNary wasn't a suspect until authorities trace the phone back to him.

USAToday reports the alleged victim went to Eskenazi Hospital and underwent a sexual assault examination. Once completed, a forensic nurse reported to authorities that she had injuries consistent with rape, had dried blood behind her ear and pubic hair located on her body that didn't belonged to her.

After an initial investigation, police acquired a search warrant for football stars apartment. Court docs said upon their arrival, McNary replied, "I know why you're here." Investigators found a pile of bedding on the floor at which time, McNary told detectives "I preserved it for you because I knew you would be coming."  He then allegedly said he would like to discuss the investigation further in his office and showed detectives the woman's belongings she had left behind.

McNary was also taken to Eskenazi Hospital for an exam.  Listen to Tha Wire below and find out, what was found.

The NFL superstar is out-right denying rape allegations, but isn't denying they had sex. His lawyer Ed Schrager, released a statement Wednesday and said McNary "Joshua immediately reported to law enforcement in a "respectful and peaceful manner." He went on to say:

“The charges and affidavit publicly disseminated on Wednesday afternoon are not evidence of wrong doing but simply one side’s story.  Joshua has full and complete confidence in the American way, including its justice system, which he pledged to protect and defend as a West Point graduate and lieutenant in the United States Army.”

The Colts have also issued a statement:

"We are aware that there has been a report about Josh McNary, but unfortunately that's the limit of our knowledge. At this time, we are very concerned and trying to find out what the relevant facts are, but we have insufficient information to venture any opinion. As we learn more, we will make appropriate updates."

Finally, I'm glad she didn't mean it when Jazmine Sullivan said in 2011, she was "taking a hiatus from music because it wasn’t fun anymore."   After 3 years the gifted songbird is back with her third studio album, Reality Show.  AllHipHop reports the singer recently she sat down with The Breakfast Club to talk discuss her new LP and the real reason she left music.  During the interview, she revealed she left music because she was in an abusive relationship.  Check out the video below for more.
