CPSO Looks for Driver After Death From Falling Hay Bales
Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office Deputies are looking for a driver who caused a roadway death in Sulphur.
A 74-year-old woman died last week from injuries she received when a hay bale fell off a trailer on Houston River Road, near the intersection of Jeffrey Lane about two months ago. The incident happened on May 1 at around 6:00pm. Ernest Domingue, of Sulphur, passed away on July 7 from her injuries.
Kayla Vincent, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman, told KPLC the truck in question is a black, four-door, RAM 3500 dually pickup. It was pulling a eighteen to twenty-foot trailer loaded with two hay bales and was traveling westbound on W. Houston River Road. At the intersection of Houston River and Jeffrey Lane, the hay bales shifted and fell off the trailer.
