DaBaby, Young M.A, Kevin Gates and More: New Projects This Week

For DaBaby, his name is his name. Looking to extend his current hot streak, the rapper born Jonathan Kirk drops his second album of 2019, Kirk. The sophomore album from the artist behind “Suge” and “Goin Baby” comes with 13 songs, including the single “Intro” and “XXL” and features contributions from Nicki Minaj, Chance The Rapper, Gucci Mane, Lil Baby and others. The North Carolina rapper’s breakthrough year has so far included platinum plaques and being named to the 2019 XXL Freshman Class.

It’s been a long time coming for Young M.A. The spitter from Brooklyn, who burst onto the scene with the triple-platinum 2016 single “Ooouuu,” is finally ready to tell her story with the release of Herstory in the Making. Running 21 songs deep, her debut album is low on guest appearances and houses previously released records like “Big,” “PettyWap 2,” “Stubborn Ass” and “Car Confessions.”

After overcoming obstacles and touring with Cardi B, Kevin Gates is ready to push it to the limits with his latest album, I’m Him. Prior to delivering his first studio album in three years, the platinum rapper from Baton Rouge, La. dropped off the singles “Push It” and “Facts.” The “2 Phones” star is slated to take off on his I’m Him Tour next month alongside YK Osiris, Polo G, NLE Choppa and Rod Wave.
