D'Angelo decided to bless his fans in a major way, because it's been announced that he's releasing a remastered deluxe version of his debut album Brown Sugar.

Reportedly, the deluxe LP will include two discs full of remixes, stripped down a capella versions of songs and other surprises. Guests on the project include DJ Premier, Kool G. Rap, Erick Sermon, Dallas Austin, Incognito, Tech King and CJ Mackintosh.

In addition, the release will include a 20-page booklet that'll have all kinds of cool pics, lyrics and something written by the filmmaker and culture critic Nelson George.

Since dropping his critically acclaimed Black Messiah album in December of 2014 and joining in on some of the Prince tributes after the singer died, D'Angelo has been a little quiet on the music front. There were rumors, however, that he was dropping a new album sooner than later, but that chatter has since died down.

Be sure to look out for the Virginia native's deluxe Brown Sugar album when it comes out on Aug. 25.
