Fat Joe spilled the beans that the Notorious B.I.G.’s song, “I Got a Story to Tell,” was about the late rapper bedding the girlfriend of the late New York Knicks b-baller Anthony Mason. Although Fat Joe would later regret it, Diddy has stepped up and confirmed that the story is true.

In an interview with Power 105.1's The Breakfast Club on Friday morning (May 20), the rap mogul backed up Joe's claims that it was Mason and that he would have intervened.

To help you jog your memory, on the song, Biggie raps about Mason coming back home early to find him in his bed with his girlfriend. Naturally, the late rapper pulled out a gun on him to avoid any further conflict — but not before he also grabbed a thousand dollars from the NBA player.

While all may have been forgiven, longtime friend and fellow Knicks player Charles Oakley told TMZ Sports that Fat Joe disrespected Mason by revealing the mystery to the entire world.

"You don't talk about a guy after he's deceased," said Oakley who felt it was disrespectful to talk about two people who are no longer here. However, the veteran b-baller would not confirm whether the story is true or not. "It's not my business to tell," he stated.
