Twenty-six years ago the inaugural celebration of all things Lake Charles gave birth to the Downtown at Sundown concert series. An outside event takes place in front of the Historic City Hall and Calcasieu Parish Courthouse at the 1000 block of Ryan Street.

Since then, the festival has grown by leaps and bounds, spanning over four consecutive Fridays starting on May 24 through June 14, from 6 pm to 9 pm. Save the dates and come out to enjoy this free family-friendly. An estimated 2,500 attendees are expected to each week to gather and enjoy this free and family-friendly event.

The concert series artist, group, and band line-up is as follows:

May 24 - Sunkissed and Nicki Needham & the People’s Victory (Lafayette.)

May 31 - “Swamp Night” Brandon Ledet & Creole Touch and Brandon Broussard & Chez De Bon Temps (Lake Charles.)

June 7 - Kris Harper and The Tugboats to the stage in conjunction with our industry partners' "Intern Night."

June 14 - Doc Wilder and Justin Martindale & the Backstabbers end our series on a high note with support from McNeese State University for “Geaux Blue Friday.”

Proceeds from beverage sales will benefit the have made it possible for an estimated 2,500 attendees each week to gather and enjoy the free and family-friendly event in the heart of Downtown Lake Charles..
